WE Solicitors managed to obtain £2,500 compensation for Miss S from Preston
WE Solicitors managed to obtain £2,500 compensation for Miss S from Preston. Miss S worked for British Northrop as a central lathe turner from 1962 until 1967. At British Northrop Miss S was exposed to excessive noise from milling machines, drilling machines and lathes. Even though Miss S’s exposure was a long time ago, WE Solicitors were still successful in obtaining compensation.
WE Solicitors managed to obtain £1,500 compensation for Mr F from Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent. Mr F was employed by Timpsons from 1961 until 1966. At Timpsons, Mr F was subjected to excessive noise from finishing machines, scouring machines, cutting machines and blake machines as well as noise from various tools. Even though the amount of compensation Mr F received was modest, this was still a good outcome in view of the amount of time that has passed since Mr F’s exposure.
We are moving our “Don’t suffer in Silence Campaign” to raise awareness in Stafford and Walsall.
Noise Induced Hearing Loss at the World Cup
Ever since the World Cup kicked off last week, the sound of the vuvuzelas (plastic trumpets) has not stopped! Resembling the incessant drone of invading airborne armies of insects swarming across the African plains, the issue has raised concern amongst fans and players alike, as they are often unable to hear above the noise with anxieties expressed regarding the likelihood of longer term hearing damage.
Mr. H of Stalybridge was a former Weaver for W. M. Christy & Sons, for nearly 7 years, between the years of 1975 and 1988. He is now 51 years old and suffers with hearing loss, which was caused by excessive noise at work.
