Mr P wins £5000 payout after working as a Welder from 1964-2007
Mr P wins £5000 payout after working as a Welder from 1964-2007 caused him to lose some of his hearing through noise damage.
This claim was difficult as Mr P (like many others) has moved between different employers and was exposed to loud noise at each of them. This creates an issue for the solicitor in deciding who to target in legal proceedings.
WE solicitors were able to perform an ‘apportionment calculation’ to find out where Mr P was exposed to most of the loud noise and target those companies. The reason for this is that the more noise he was exposed during an employment meant that employer will have caused more damage and therefore will be responsible for paying more compensation.
Using this calculation we solicitors were able to recover 77.8% of Mr P’s total claim against High Duty Alloys and William Press (aka Press Construction and Amec Plc) and he received a total of £5,000.
