WE Solicitors are Overwhelmed with Potential Claims
Following recent adverts in the Merthyr Express, We Solicitors have received an overwhelming response from former employees of Hoover who believe their hearing has been affected by exposure to excessive noise in the local factory.
WE Solicitors have many years experience of representing Claimant’s with noise related hearing loss but their managing partner Steven Evans was surprised by the large response. He comments:
“When we advertise in an area we receive approximately 20 to 30 people calling for further information. On this occasion we received well over 100 calls from former workers of Hoover who were concerned that their hearing had been damaged. This reaction was unprecedented and more than we ever expected”.
Having successfully pursued claims on behalf of other clients WE Solicitors noticed there appeared to be a period after 1963 and into the 1990’s when Hoover failed to provide hearing protection to workers when there was a legal requirement for them to do so if the noise levels were damaging. On making further investigations they decided to place an advert to see how many this could have affected and were overwhelmed with the response.
WE Solicitors held a clinic on Thursday 22nd April at Orbit Business, Rhydycar, Merthyr Tydfil where free hearing tests were offered to all former employees of Hoover. Another clinic will be arranged in May and should you be interested in attending to determine whether or not you may be eligible to claim, please call 0800 294 3065
